M.Sc Ag Agronomy is a 2- year long full-time course. Agronomy is the scientific application of soil and plant sciences to soil management and agricultural production. Students are taught how to communicate effectively with the general public, farmers, and fellow scientists using various approaches.
To accomplish these goals, biotechnologists develop products to protect animals and crops from disease and help farmers identify the best animals and seeds to use in selective breeding programs. For example, a commercial fish farm might raise fish like salmon, tilapia, or catfish.
Students should have a strong understanding of plant and animal species, their tissues, cells, functions, interdependencies, and interactions with one another and the environment. They should also be proficient in mathematics, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
